Where would my hubby get a sperm analysis? Do men usually go to the same fertility specialist that I'm seeing?

My hubby and I are ttc and I've been seeing a fertility specialist who put me on clomid. It's been a few months and we're still not getting pregnant so my hubby and I are wondering if he should get a sperm analysis. I was going to call my fertility specialist that I see tomorrow to make an appt for him, but then I started wondering do most fertility specialists do this or would he go to a different doctor?

I"m surprised your dr would put you on Clomid without checking both you and your husband out first. Usually – that is the first thing they do.
The specialist I saw wrote down a list of tests for both me and my husband to do.
My husband went to his own family doctor after that to get the referral. He then took a sample of his sperm to a lab where it was analyzed.
Good Luck and I hope you get pregnant soon.

I think they have to be referred to a urologist? I'm not a 100% on that one, but that is where my husband went for testicular cancer treatment and they analyzed his sperm afterwards.

When I first saw my obgyn after ttc for a year, the first test he requested was a sperm analysis. Along with that, he wanted me to do an HSG to check for blocked tubes. He wouldn't prescribe medications till we had some testing done. With the sperm analysis, he wrote out the order, gave us a list of labs to drop off the sample at, and gave us the cup and instructions. He said to do the sample at home and drop it off at the lab within one hour of doing it. So, I suggest to start by asking the dr you're already seeing.
Good luck to you, and sending you tons of baby dust

when my husband had to have his done, my specialists is the one who oredered the sperm analysis.
all we had to do was go to the lab down stairs to turn it in, and that is how it got tested. he didnt have to go to another doctor or anything!
good luck, and i hope this helps!
