no actually the sperm can soften the cervix.. its not uncommon in the end of your pregnancy for you to "ok" your hubby going inside you it makes the delivery easier

The risk of tearing depends on you. Do kegal exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor and use vitamin E oil on your perineum. Do NOT insert into any orifice.

Not at all. The size of the baby and many other factors (your bone structure, the doctor, the labor) affect the chance of tearing. Most docs and midwives perform an episiotomy (cutting of the area) to prevent tearing. I suppose cutting is easier to sew back up! This makes me cringe, lol- my son was 10lbs 12oz and boy did I tear!!!

No, but you really shouldn’t have sex after you lose your mucus plug to prevent infections. You should talk to your doctor about tearing during delivery because you need to voice your opinion to them regarding being cut to prevent tearing (episiotomy). They usually cut anyway if they feel you will tear too much, but again it depends on your body, the delivery and your doctor delivering.
Don’t hesitate to ask your doctor these kinds of questions. That’s why they are there and it’s what they specialize in.
