Increasing sperm count?

Ok, I’m abstaining from Masturbation for a while. For those of you who ask, it’s for a number of reasons: energy, testosterone, build up etc etc.

Was just wondering…I tend to get wet dreams after about 1 week of not doing it. Will the discharge in my sleep mean that when I finally do decide to do it, it won’t be as powerful/thick, etc?
Is it defeating the purpose of abstaining?

I know its natural and all…But I really want to build up lol. So the question is: Do wet dreams case sperm levels to drop, in the same way that masturbation makes it drop straight after?

Thanks everyone

Not enough that you could notice any difference.
Stop stressing yourself out over stuff you don’t even have any control over.

  2. •• TONY •• says:

The liquid that seeps out during a nocturnal emission is semen that has overflowed from the seminal vesicles and prostate gland. There is little or no sperm in it at all. Excess sperm die in the epididymides and are absorbed like other dead cells, into the blood stream.
You will never run out of sperm and having wet dreams does not have any effect on any ejaculations you may have in the future. The thickness of your semen is caused by an enzyme secreted by your seminal vesicles (and thinned after ejaculation by a counter-acting one from the prostate). Your power of ejaculation is primarily all down to the ejaculatory duct within your prostate which, I would suggest, the more often it is used, the more "in tone" it will be. Semen expelled during a wet dream (and actual dreams are rare during the process) is not usually ejaculated, but just seeps out.
Sports physicians and other specialists have already asserted that frequency of ejaculation has no effect on performance and there is little, if any, testosterone in semen.
So your little exercise is meaningless.

Sperm only live for about 2 days whether they are still hanging out in you, or released into the world. You are continually making sperm. If you are trying for a baby, yes you should refrain from masturbation so that the maximum number can be involved in creating the baby, but otherwise, it should not effect anything.

If it is not for fertility issues, then I think you may be wrong in your thinking. Doing it often will build up your endurance, much like any exercise, and thus give you more energy in the long run. Masturbating often should increase your testosterone levels, not reduce them. As for build up… nope. Thickness has much more to do with how hydrated you are more than whether you’ve ejaculated recently.

Most men have wet dreams on a nightly basis, usually just a small amount and it’s dry by morning. This decreases with age, but doesn’t really ever go away. Also, whether by masturbation or by sexual activity, the more you use it, the larger it tends to get… not by a huge amount, but a bit.

In the end… If you feel like doing it, go for it. If you think that it’s getting out of hand, maybe your doing it too much, or your doing it instead of your significant other, then chill out and stop for a while. Otherwise. It is perfectly healthy and really has no negative effects.

    1. Have sex & masturbate less often – the more times you ejaculate, the less dense your semen will be. Maintain a gap of 3 days between two consecutive ejaculations.

    6. Lose any excess weight, which tends to cause testosterone/oestrogen imbalances.

    7. Reduce stress levels by learning relaxation techniques – Keep your mind and body healthy by regular practice of YOGA and MEDITATION.
