i already asked the guys, but like a second opinion. does masturbating to much lower sperm count?

i love to masturbate, i’ve done it sense i was 7 years old, but i really got into it during my teen years. some times i did it about 3 times a day, sometimes i don’t do it. my recored is 5 a day. because of my history with masturbation, my wife said i could lower my sperm count. i dont think its true , but i dont know for sure. im 22 years old now.
does any one masturbate as much as i do? and does it lower the count level? and do girls go through the same thing? ( my wife does not masturbate so i dont know)

    No it is a fallacy that masturbating can affect the sperm count. There is no such thing as to much either unless of course you were at it 24/7
    Sometimes if you are having trouble conceiving the doctors will tell you to work out the day your wife is at her most fertile and abstain for 2 days before hand but this is just so you have a larger amount of sperm stored ready to be used.
