husband had grade III varicocele. He has had zero sperm counts on 2 separate semen analyses. Been trying to get pregnant for over 2 years. he just had varicocele repair where the doc said he tied-off 5 dilated veins. doc said he ususally sees 2 dilated veins on someone, sometimes 3. So do you think 5 could have been causing the zero sperm counts and problem getting pregnant??

Absolutely, the more varicoceles a man has the lower his sperm count. So after a few months of recovery his counts should hopefully go up at least some.
