Has anyone out there had a partner with a low sperm count and still got pregnant?

We go see a specialist on the 26th. I was just wondering if anyone out there also had simular problems. We have been TTC for just about a year.
We are hoping that this DR. does another semen analyis becaise the lab we brought ours to took over 15 min to help us(when we got it there the semen had already been in the cup for 20 min) and took the guy another 15 min on how to order it and where to take it to!

we had various tests and it came bk my hubby has a very low count, sorry cant remember the figures BUT we have had 5 beautiful babies since they told us that
so i just wanted to say do not lose hope just because his count is low x x x

It's possible, very possible! My partner has a high sperm count, but his sperm is very slow… we are still trying. There have been stories at http://www.babycenter.com where couples have gotten preggers off of low sperm count

As long as there is sperm, pregnancy is possible. It only takes one.
However, you'll get pregnant much quicker with medical intervention. You should see an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) and go over your options. An IUI might be all you need. Also, have the RE retest hubby's sperm. It doesn't sound like your current results are 100% reliable.

hi hun yes my hubby has a low count aswell but we haven't been told to give up you shouldnt either,as some of the ladies have said it only takes one,i would definatley recommend doing another semen anayalis as these tests should be done within two hours even though they were in the time frame of getting it to the lab,it just depends on what time you actually put the semen in the tub,but either way make sure within 2 hours its at the lab,anyways hun dont give up you'll get there in the end good luck,hugs and tons of babydust from me to you keep in touch hun xx

Hi all, glad I came on this site. My partner has been told his sperm count is very very low and we have been referred for a consultation for ICSI treatment in December this year. Does anyone know if this has been the case for them or for anyone else and has fallen pregnant naturally without any treatment after being told this. Anxious to know is this was the case for a couple of people who have already posted a comment on this site.
