I've always heard doing a large amount of cocaine and smoking alot of weed significantly lowers sperm count. So if a guy quits doing cocaine and smoking weed, does his sperm count go back to normal or does is go back to normal AND raise it significantly?

It would go up, ideally back to normal. It depends on how long he has been doing drugs though. If he has been doing them for a long time then his sperm count may not fully recover.

    hear me out

a lot of rumors like that are put out there by the governmental anti-drug agencies. keep in mind that the only place where researchers can legally acquire research pot is from a field near ole miss in oxford, ms. that shit is ditch weed that has a low level of THC, so the benefits aren't as notable. also, the researchers have to apply for grants, and you can guess which groups get preference. so, not being a conspiracy theorist, you just need to keep in mind the scenario that a lot of research is being done under.

despite what many people believe, moderate marijuana use does not change the levels of sex hormones levels such as testosterone. a study at the University of Iowa found that use of marijuana does not affect the testosterone, luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, prolactin and cortisol in men and women. reproductive damage from marijuana use by males not been proven yet. one study did show that there was a relationship between marijuana use and a low sperm count. the sperm count is also increased to normal when the user stops taking marijuana.

all of that being said, i personally haven't been able to see what the actual level change was. in super high me, doug benson's sperm count wasn't changed. but in the end, it just returns to normal

    Hi Crayola,

Yes, coping with low sperm count can be troublesome. Regarding your question, I believe that stopping the bad habits can only take you back to your original state before using. It's best to support it with your daily intake of nutrients/foods can help you attaining stronger and healthier ejaculations and also can help you increasing sperm count.

For instance, dark red meats, poultry and fish, such as salmon and tuna, whole grains, dried beans and eggs are also good for increasing sperm count.
