Hello well i honestly think you should consult a diabetic doctor and/or a regular one

What's the name of the pills he's taking. Just being diabetic alone *might* cause some reduction in sperm count.

You can search the name of the pill along with sperm count reduction and see if anything comes up.

Good Luck making a new baby!

Unfortunately there is evidence to suggest that men with diabetes have difficulty conceiving a child as there is more damage to the DNA of the sperm. This has a direct effect on male fertility.

There is also a smaller volume of sperm produced, but that is not the problem, it is the quality of the sperm that is produced that is important. However, if you have one child already and the condition is relatively new you shouldn't need artificial assistance to conceive.

    Take care

The idea that diabetic men will suffer a low sperm count as a result is a myth. An issue that could affect him is not sperm count but potency. One of the affects of diabetes is that the smaller blood vessels can burst or be damaged. Blood flow to areas fed by these blood vessels can be compromised. This is why some diabetics over time can suffer from eye problems, as the blood vessels to the retina are affected. In much the same way, the blood supply to the private regions of your husbands body can be affected and the ability to maintain arousal can become an issue. It does not necessarily have to happen, but it can. If this does occur, there is that wonderful blue pill to help. Many mistakenly think Viagra and other similar medication is supposed to turn the guy on but it actually opens up the blood vessels so that good blood supply can get where it needs to get to make certain things happen. If your husband begins to suffer from ED (erectile dysfunction) have him talk to his doctor about it and you should still be able to keep trying.
