hi i too have pcos and my hubbys sperm motility is only 6 percent dont lose hope our doc has advised us to go for icsi and says he can definatly work with this result, it only takes 1 healthy sperm to get u pregnant even if thers no sperm in the ejaculate it can be surgically retreved and used for icsi we thought it was devastating when we got our resuluts but then we realised ther is lots of things can be done to help people in our situathion i no iis hard but we we apprethiate our baby much more when it comes along , stay positive and be as healthy as u can i really beleive good things come to those who wait

I’ve been married now for a year and a few months. My husband and i have been trying to concieve for sometime now. About 5months ago my husband went for a check up and thats how we found out that he had a low sperm count. His doctor prescribed him medicine to help with our situation and even gave us high hopes. “Many couples that come to me for help have concieve within 2 months of treatments. In no time you’ll have the same outcome.” Well its been 3 months now and still nothing. Secretly I sometimes give up hope and often wonder if I’ll ever get the chance to be a loving mother like mines was to me. I pray every chance i get that god will bless us with a child some day soon…

If it’s because of evolution, wouldn’t a mutation in sperm temperature tolerance be more likely to occur instead of a complete location change of the testis as well as the development of a new “organ” (the scrotum)? If evolution is just by chance and genetic mutation wouldn’t the mutation be more likely to change something within the sperm itself (which is already coded for in DNA) than to cause an entirely new body structure to form? Just a thought. It just seems odd to me that all the other cells in the body “evolved” to function just fine at an organisms body temp EXCEPT for sperm cells. I also find it difficult to accept that the transplantation of testis to an exterior location would add any evolutionary advantage to an organism due to the increased risk of trauma.
